Postseason Landscape Coming into Focus

With this result, the victors continued their positive run to five consecutive games, solidifying their standing in the hunt for a top postseason berth. This victory also snapped a lengthy losing skid against this specific opponent.

The visiting veteran passer, making his second appearance after a five-year hiatus, put up a strong fight, passing for 277 yards and two touchdowns. However, a fourth-quarter turnover taken to the house ultimately sealed the game.

Game Recap

• First Quarter: The action opened with a 20-yard touchdown pass from the opposing quarterback. Purdy responded with a twenty-two-yard scoring strike to even the game.
• Second Quarter: After a fumble on the ensuing play, Purdy found McCaffrey for a short touchdown. The opponents answered back before Purdy tossed his third TD pass to take back the lead.
• Second Half: Purdy continued his rhythm, tossing another touchdown pass early in the third quarter. A fourth-quarter running touchdown by the opposition briefly made it a one-score game.
• Final Quarter: The home side put the game away with another Purdy-to-McCaffrey touchdown connection, followed shortly later by the game-clinching defensive score.
